Nan Bress, Founder

Collaborspace.info provides workshops, remote office design, and virtual collaboration training to help teams enter Web 3.0 and the Metaverse era ready to understand and use all the new tools available. Nan is passionate about creating spaces to enhance collaborations for hybrid work teams and for companies to understand and interact with their customers in better ways. She has a creative and consulting background as a remote worker, having spent over two decades as a corporate ethnographic researcher and a documentary videomaker, studying the unmet needs of people in their natural environments. Trained at Stanford University's Documentary Film and Video program, she has also worked in television, in t.v. news, and on award-winning documentaries. Inspiration

One research project that impacted Nan most was forecasting the world of remote workers ten years into the future (back in 2009, soon after the iphone 3G was released). Working with Xerox Innovation Group (XIG) the team's immersive scenarios of the future were installed in the coffee break room at at XIG so engineers could design better experiences for the years ahead. (No longer could they focus solely on the photocopy machine ... paper was on the way out!).

Seeing these predictions for the remote workforce become reality has been profound and inspiring. Many of the desires behind “the hologram meeting space of the future” exist now in the Collaborspace tool suite and will revolutionize how teams connect. Collaborspace can design spaces in a number of software platforms, both web-based and in the Metaverse, and provide hands-on training so creative teams can truly thrive and overcome the challenges of virtual collaborations to leap frog ahead in their innovation.
